January 2016: Marcos Dantus named MSU Foundation Professor

Marcos Dantus, University Distinguished Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy, is a leading expert on ultrafast laser pulse technology. He was named one of four 2016 MSU Foundation Professors in an announcement by MSU Provost June Pierce Youatt, who describes those professorships as demonstrations of MSU's commitment to recognizing and rewarding world-class scholars. The title is bestowed by MSU, with support from the MSU Foundation, to provide five years of supplemental research support to awardees. Those honored will hold the MSU Foundation Professor designation permanently.
