MSU Students Travel to CUWiP 2020
After successfully hosting CUWiP last year, this year 11 MSU undergraduate physics majors headed off to Carnegie-Mellon in Pittsburgh. Despite the distance, the students report MSU had the largest cohort of any visiting university. The students took advantage of three plenary presentations and selected from a number of workshops focusing on different topics of interest to undergraduate physicists and undergraduate women in physics in particular. They also enjoyed comparing university life in the more urban setting of Pittsburgh compared to bucolic East Lansing. The students gratefully acknowledged the support of the department and the hosts making the trip possible. They are also already planning for CUWiP 2021!
