MSU Physics and Astronomy theoretical nuclear physics graduate student Amy Lowell was among the six new recipients of the U. S. Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA) Stewardship Science Graduate Fellowship this year. The program supports doctoral candidates studying high energy density physics, nuclear science, or materials under extreme conditions and hydrodynamics. They receive full tuition, a stipend, a practicum at a DOE/NNSA national laboratory, and other benefits. This (2015-2016) will be the fellowship's tenth academic year.
