Condensed Matter Physics (CMP)
Condensed Matter Physics (CMP) is a highly diverse field encompassing a wide range of theories and experiments.
Here at Michigan State University, we have exciting and innovative research programs in light-matter interactions, nonequilibrium quantum many-body physics, quantum and classical fluctuations, superconductivity, quantum and 2D materials research using scanning probe microscopy, X-ray and neutron scattering, the studies of functional material transformations using ultrafast electron scattering, ultrafast spectroscopies and imaging — and more!
The links in the right column menu will take you to pages describing aspects of the condensed matter physics program.
