Science Theatre

Welcome to the MSU Science Theatre Website!

Science Theatre is a student-run outreach organization dedicated to getting K-12 children interested in all fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM). We perform science demonstrations for children of all ages at schools, festivals, youth organizations and a wide variety of other events across the state of Michigan. Think Bill Nye the Science Guy but live on stage.

Every year during Michigan State University’s spring break, we plan a trip to the Upper Peninsula to present to as many schools as possible.

Our full stage shows normally last 1 hour, and require about 10 minutes of set up and take down time. The show can be split into two 30 minute shows if desired, with a short intermission. We also often perform "table top" shows for STEAM nights or similar events. These "table top" shows are much more flexible and usually involved students approaching the table to complete an activity.
