Graduate Handbook
The Department of Physics and Astronomy Graduate Handbook is the authoritative document for its Graduate program. Typically, the Graduate Handbook in place at the date the student starts in the program is the relevant handbook for that student. However, the handbook relies on policies and procedures governed by external policies and procedures that take precedence. The version of the handbook, adopted in summer of 2020, incorporated some changes that were beneficial to students already enrolled in the program. Therefore, these changes were also made available for those students. The 2021 version is similar to the 2020 version, but includes updated PGO bylaws and a new RCR section. The 2022 version of the handbook contains significant changes approved for the program in Spring of 2022. This version of the handbook becomes the current version with the start of the Fall semester of 2022. A quick guide to the main changes is provided.
